After hearing the rumble and locating where it came from he arrived on scene, oh lucky him he was the first to arrive. He didn't have a tricorder with him but he did have his VISOR which worked just fine, better than a tricorder even so he began to assess the current situation. He couldn't help but feel a little thrilled as he had just expected a regular old boring food festival though he was a bit hungry.

Jayrehi waltzed over, alerted by the blast and it’s noise. Maybe it was a good thing she always wore her uniform and kept basic tools with her. Casual wear? What was that? She grabbed a tricorder, scanning what she could nearby. It could be a bomb, sounded like one. The poor Trill had her fair share of experience with those nasty, nasty things. She kept her eye out however, looking around to see if anyone was injured by the blast.

The acrid smoke billowed through the ship's corridors, choking the filtered air as warning klaxons blared in the distance. The explosion that had rocked the bridge had done more damage than initially feared, crippling the automated fire suppression systems that should have been activated minutes ago. Core systems throughout the vessel failed one by one, with the critical power relay showing dangerous fluctuations that threatened to plunge the entire ship into darkness. Most concerning of all was the life support system – its normally steady hum now an irregular stutter that echoed through the maintenance ducts, a grim reminder that every passing moment brought the crew closer to an actual emergency At the time, Mudd or Jayrehi could not see or pickup another bomb. It seems the explosion has happened

Oh no. Jayrehi quickly moved off, her tricorder beeping as she tried to locate the life support systems, or where ever their main conduits were. That stutter was coming from the maintenance ducts, maybe she could use them to get to the source? In the meantime, she tried to whack her head with ideas on how to solve this. That fire needed to be dealt with, then casualties if any, and if not that then scanning the area again to be sure- a lot was running in her mind.

*The tricorder could pick up the life support system and head straight into the maintenance ducts and straight into the ducts where some smoke was coming out. But it seemed to lead away from the smoke. However, the tricorder could pick up where the power relays seemed to be at the worst of the smoke... What were the engineers going to do? Ducts or smoke time? *

Jayrehi decided to head into the ducts, climbing in as she held her tricorder out. She was determined to get to where ever the life support systems were. Time was of the essence, and yet as the critical nature of this situation began to set in, the thoughts in her head began to clear away.

Mudd noticed the other engineer was also headed for the life support system he followed right behind her, he picked up on the power relays rather easily with his VISOR. "Right behind you fellow engineer." He chuckled despite the seriousness of the whole situation he felt rather at ease.

It took only a few minutes in the duct system to find the life system, it seemed that a damaged ion relay was needed to be spliced and that the energy core need to be realigned with the relay to get life support up and running! Easy for a group of Starfleet Engineers

Swift strides conveyed the Assistant chief of tactical in the direction of the explosion and the ship upon which it had occurred. Once there, Vara'l availed himself of the nearest set of fire fighting equipment that could be located. He then headed aboard the ship. Another pair of hands if people needed to be moved off the ship always seemed to be of assistance.

Jean entered with his fireproof EV Suit as he had heard there was a fire going on he also had a fire extinguisher, his first ever real experience on duty now, wow. As Jean made his way over to fight the fires he spotted the ACTO which puzzled him. "Uh, sir? Not to be rude but this is a task for Operations... And Engineering I suppose, and you don't have an EV Suit." He pointed out, of course he could always just be rank pulled but hey at least that didn't make him responsible if something happened.

Grey eyes swept to the side as metal implant plated but hair covered head gave way to a stare that fixed upon the ensign. Fixed upon him and analysed him from their position set in to a face that remained emotionless, impassive, that seemed to approach the situation in a calculated way. A Borg way. That gaze remained focused on the ensign for a few moments before he proceeded to say. "If you feel it is the most logical approach, I'll go and get one ensign." He responded then before he continued on to say. "But I'm aware of the dangers and am here to provide another set of hands for extracting people."

TW:Dead Body, There was a large Hupyrian body on the floor, unmoving, with multiple seared holes in the skin, as if the blast had cauterized the wounds upon impact. The body lay near the most intense area of fire, close to what appeared to be a detonation zone. This was more within the ship, by the bridge, the smoke leading you to it. It wasn’t a large bomb, but it was far from a typical explosion—small puncture-like holes dotted the hull and floor nearby, the holes charred and blackened. (edited)

Jean just stared back not liking how he was being stared at, he gulped, feeling a little afraid though this was a Starfleet officer so it was fine, right? He slowly nodded as the Lieutenant Commander spoke. "Well it's really your choice, sir" Jean was about to speak further if it wasn't for the fact that he thought he could see a body on the floor not to far away, he quickly moved to approach putting out the most intense fires. "Survivor spotted." Jean said loudly so Vara'l would be able to hear him, he approached the body and took it by the arms attempting to drag it away from the fires then call for medical.

Vara'l noted the others look back and idly wondered if he'd looked scary again. That made him internally wince as he moved to then say he'd go back for a EV suit. That was before the body was located. As the other started to pull the man back he loomed not that that was his intention, nearby and started to use the firefighting kit as he sprayed at the fire and attempted to fight it back as the ensign worked. "This explosion doesn't seem like the usual sort." He mused then as he fought the fire, attempted to be as loud as he could as well. "We appear to have encountered the initial detonation zone." He dispassionately then added. "Looks like a explosive device, probably something less professionally made, something for science, security and tactical to look into." He commented, his tone unintentionall causal by dint of the fact he'd entered into that professional calm of his he affected. Trauma, what he'd seen. That could be addressed later. For now, emotion was irrelevant, this individual needed assistance or needed to be moved if beyond it and the fire needed to be addressed. (edited)

*The fire was put out, and Jean-Louis could tell the Hupyrian were not breathing or alive; the fire kept them warm, but they were clearly dead. The smoke was starting to fill out from below; the bomb didn't do huge damage, but just enough. *

"Well I am sadly not familiar with explosive devices, I'm but a Specialist Rescue Officer, sir." As Jean had drawn the body to safety he checked for life signs, finding none and deemed that the Hupyrian was probably, most likely beyond saving by now judging from the fire, the smoke and detonation. Nonetheless he tapped his commbadge to report it in. "Ensign de Montfort to Medical we have a deceased.. Hupyrian here." He said having to double check his memory about the species. After assessing the situation and that there was nothing he could do for the body he dragged out he got up and started looking for survivors or perhaps even more bodies.

There were neither bodies nor survivors, it seemed the Hupyrian was the only fatality.

"Noted." The Romulan responded simply before he started to assist the ensign as they dragged the body out, did so after he palmed his tricorder and set it to constant scan. Did so and also directed it to connect with his audio implants so he could hear the results it returned. "Seeing increased smoke coverage, also seen some shrapnel impact sites, might help confirm who made the device." He observed as he helped drag.

"Clear." Jean said as he found no more bodies nor any survivors, which was a good thing he guessed, he wouldn't like to find more bodies. He couldn't help but feel a little proud of himself though as he successfully put out a fire in a real situation not something that was simulated. "I don't think I'm of much use here anymore so I'll go unsuit and file a.. report." How fun to be filing a report, his least favorite thing to do. "Comm me if there does appear anything else though." He said taking his leave.

"Hm." The Romulan hummed then as he turned and looked to Jean once the body had been moved to somewhere more sensible. He fixed them with another grey eyed gaze and then palmed his tricorder again. Did so and snapped it more fully open as he studied the readings. Looked to see if any other bodies or survivors could be detected. "At the moment, that does seem to be the case yes, ensign." He said as he started that. "I'll be sure to Comm you, if something does, aye." Vara'l then conducted a search for more surivors and/or bodies. He'd intended to at the very least, clear any more fire he encountered and get some more bodies out if there were any before he headed off elsewhere. Eventually, he headed off in search of the sickbay. He wanted to briefly visit to check to see who'd been injured. After that, he intended to go to Conference room 1. (edited)
